What Are Pharmacological Therapies In Heart Failure?
Pharmacological therapies are done mainly in step wise fashion as;

  1. Removal of retained salt & water from the body by Diuretics
  2. Reduction of afterload as well as salt & water by ACE inhibitors
  3. Reduction of excessive sympathetic stimulation by β-blockers
  4. Reduction of preload & afterload by Vasodilators
  5. Direct augmentation of depressed cardiac contractility with positive inotropic drugs such as Cardiac glycosides
